Novus Spiritus

The Society of Novus Spiritus (www.novus.org) was founded to promote a community of people who seek to be guided by the Light and dedicated to living a spiritual life.  The society encourages everyone to seek the perfection of their soul, meet God on their own terms, and activate their own unique inner spark of divinity.

The Society of Novus Spiritus is dedicated to eliminating the false concepts of Satan, hell, sin, guilt, and the fear of God, all of which are contrary to our understanding of a benevolent Creator.  It believes, or knows, that an all-loving God does exist. One who is infinitely concerned about our welfare and state of being.  The pain of life is not punishment from God, rather it is a learning tool, and a very necessary one in the larger scheme of life.

Novus strives to uncover all of the ‘mysteries’ regarding the nature of life, death, God, and the role we play in life’s scheme.  God never withholds information; it is humans who chose to ignore it.  The Society exists to help prepare people for receiving God’s wisdom.

The principles of Novus Spiritus are closely linked to ‘New Thought’ and ‘Modern Metaphysical Spirituality’.

Novus Spiritus makes God stretch.  It makes God smile.  It lets God, who is love, speak for Himself and Herself.  Love speaks continuously good with forgiveness and grace.

Vision
 • Love: God is unconditional love and that, as humans, we attempt to emulate the state of unconditional love to all.
 • Heal: To provide healing tools and techniques for all to connect to the healing energy of God that everyone deserves.
 • Seek: Gnostics, by definition, are seekers of personal and spiritual truth and knowledge.  Novus encourages all seekers to use the knowledge gained to enrich their lives in every way possible.
 • Share: Once knowledge is gained, everyone is encouraged to share what has been learned with all who are seeking and questioning the reasons of being and the purpose of life.

Beliefs
 • Eternal God: Belief in a Father and Mother God and the Holy Spirit, which is the manifestation of love between Them.
 • Jesus Christ:  Belief that Christ was a man, was crucified, but did not die on the cross and not for one’s salvation.  Belief that Christ is a direct report to Father and Mother God.
 • Man:  Belief that man was created as male and female in the image of God as described in Genesis 1:26, and that everyone is a direct descendant of God, carries a spark of the divine within them and thus is a part of God.
 • Reincarnation-Eternal Life:  Belief that life is eternal, always was and always will be.  Belief that man continues to incarnate on Earth until he evolves to its own level of knowledge.  With knowledge people are brought to their own level of salvation – to save oneself from ignorance, from the addictions, the hurts. When attainment has been reached (Gnosis), the soul then goes Home and stays there and keeps on learning, but not with the negativity of this world.  We rail against the negativity, but without it we would not learn.  Only in adversity do any of us learn.  This is how the mettle of one’s soul is tested.
When Our Lord said, “Give it up and follow me”, he did not mean worldly goods. He meant drop all your negativity, your behavioral overlays, commit and them come.
 • Baptism: Belief that through Baptism past life phobias, pains, guilts and ills are released.  Belief that the negativities in man are replaced with love and righteousness before God; that man is given steadfastness and purpose in life while grounding his channel to God.
 • Life:  Belief that one serves God by helping others while being as good as possible in one’s daily life.
 • Communion:  Belief that communion’s purpose is finding one’s God centeredness, dedicating one’s life to God’s will, letting go of guilt and karma, staying on track and fulfilling one’s theme.
 • Healing:  Belief that all healing energy originates from God.
 • Judgment: Belief that we judge ourselves after each life when we return to the Other Side.  We learn about our good and bad deeds in the last life.  Belief that there is no other judgment than that.
